IT Sales Consultant (ref. J81)Location: Stoke on TrentJob type: Permanent (full-time) Pay: £NEGOTIABLE (DOE) Description: A local IT company is looking to recruit an experience IT Sales Consultant to join their expanding team. Duties will include managing existing customer accounts, generating new business over the phone and during face-to-face meetings, selling a range of IT and computer hardware, software, peripherals and services, liaising with the Technical Support Team and external suppliers to source products, negotiate prices, etc. You will be required to prospect for new customers, take those customers through the buying process and then deliver quality account management. You will also be responsible for the preparation of customer quotations to the company’s agreed standards. Requirements (essential): A good knowledge of IT is essential to this position, as is the ability to sell and close deals, therefore you must have B2B sales or telesales experience. Training on the company’s products and services will be provided. The successful candidate will be organised, self-motivated, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, good verbal and written skills, and be able to engage decisions makers at all levels. The ability to build relationships and rapport with customers quickly will be crucial to the success in this role. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence as some travel will be involved. Duties will include: generating appointments and managing own diary, travelling to meet with new and existing customers, closing sales over the phone and during face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers, liaising with activity co-ordinators. Requirements (essential): It is essential that candidates have previous field sales experience, and possess the ability to sell and close deals both face-to-face and over the phone. Candidates should also have their own vehicle or have access to a vehicle, as travel will be involved. Experience of having worked with charities or education centres is an advantage but not essential. Technical Support Technician (ref. J83)Location: Stoke on TrentJob type: Permanent (full-time) Pay: £DOE Description: A local IT company is looking to recruit an experienced Support Desk Technician to join their Technical Support Team. This is primarily a first line role with some second line cover, based within the Help Desk of the employer’s Technical Support Team. Duties will include receiving technical support calls via telephone, email and remote monitoring; providing first/second line technical support; accurately logging fault calls, giving advice and support to customers, and attempting to quickly and efficiently resolve their issue. The role will also involve some second line cover for holiday periods which will involve connecting into PCs and potentially Servers via remote support tools to resolve issues. Occasional site visits may also be required, and so candidates must hold a full UK driving licence. Requirements (essential): The successful candidate will have a good ground/up understanding of IT, as well as the ability to support Microsoft Desktop Operating systems.
